Tridon has three world class manufacturing facilities in Australia all having attained QS9000, Q1, ISO9002 and ISO14001 quality accreditations, confirming them as top Ford and GM suppliers. It is the largest hose clamp manufacturer and supplier in Australia and New Zealand.

Tridon supports its customers in the Industrial, Automotive and Hardware markets with three specialized Sales and Marketing Divisions. Tridon has five online branches in each state of Australia with a highly motivated sales team offering technical support for over 4,000 products.

One main reason for the stability of MomentumPro is the fact that it is built on Progress Software, a world class relational database engine.

"We have over 10,000 parts that we currently manufacture and distribute and all of them are processed through MomentumPro".

MomentumPro Addresses Tridon's Production Needs

The Production module of MomentumPro has been working particularly well for Tridon. If a product is selling well, MomentumPro will simply produce a production order at a certain forecast. This triggers the manufacturing process to build the items so that we can put more on the shelves".

According to Lennox, "MomentumPro provides great functionality which makes our jobs a lot easier as the whole thing kicks along and we don't have to oversee it as much." MomentumPro has the functionality to manage every detail of production and ordering. Tridon is able to utilize features like holding and safety stocks, strategies and forecasting which reduces the time Tridon staff have to spend maintaining production.

Lennox explained that "every time MomentumPro prints something out, you know it needs it for some reason. You don't need to question why it prints it out. It all happens in the background. When you walk into the warehouse and the shelves are correctly stocked, you realize that everything is working as it should!"

"We can analyse product strategies a lot easier than we have ever been able to. We don't just put stock on the shelf and hope that it will sell; we replace according to customer demand."

Lennox says that "due to Tridon's extensive product range we have a number of major competitors." MomentumPro allows businesses to monitor the smallest details on products and see if they might be suffering any market challenges. Tridon has used this functionality to competitive advantage and has achieved good sales and profit growth.
