Markinson Celebrates 20 Years

BRISBANE, Australia, Thursday, March 14th, 2006 - Queensland-based software solutions and services provider, Markinson Business Solutions, celebrated its 20th anniversary in March.

Founded by Mark Robertson in March 1986, Markinson has grown through a strategic focus on emerging supply-chain business and technology needs and strong collaboration with customers and key business partners.

"Markinson is a strong company with a great team of people and an established national customer base. We are now planning to build on those strengths with a more aggressive growth plan" said Markinson's founder Mark Robertson.

The past 12 months at Markinson has seen an internal restructure with the establishment of a more formal Board of Directors which includes Mark Robertson as Chairman, well known IT industry professional Garth Laird and Ralph Hunt former CITEC General Manager of Sales and Marketing.

In addition, Markinson has recently attracted a range of IT talent, including Ralph Hunt as Chief Executive Officer, Ian Whiting formally of Netsuite as National Sales Manager, and Alan Wilson formally of Mincom as Markinson's Software Development and Help Desk manager.

On the back of the latest version release of MomentumPro™ Enterprise last year, Markinson has focused on both developing and partnering to provide value added applications which compliment the core MomentumPro Enterprise product. This includes solutions for business intelligence, electronic commerce, customer relationship management and extended Technical, Professional and Support Services.

Two decades of consistent growth have been attributed to strong partnerships with both customers and partners, with over one-third of existing customers having used Markinson solutions for more than 10 years; and various industry awards won, including the Progress Elite Partnership status and Progress Collaboration Partner of the year in 2005, and Telstra's Panasonic Australia Business Award for businesses with 20 to 50 employees in 2003.
