On August 13, 2007, Markinson’s head office relocated after seven years at Shailer Park on Brisbane’s Southside.

The new modern and larger premises is located on the outskirts of the city’s CBD, in the prominent IT suburb of Milton. Some of the new neighbours include Cement Australia, Commander, Unisys and of course, Queensland’s beloved XXXX Brewery.

The objectives for the move were to better service Markinson customers, provide better facilities for staff and to cater for company growth. The move was a complete success with minimum disruption to clients and business operations.

This has been one of many milestones in Markinson’s recent history. Earlier this year, Markinson had acquired retail software company, TDC Corporation, after opening offices in Perth and on the eastern coast.

“We had reached a point where we could no longer comfortably fit in our previous office and so were required to face the challenge of an office move,” says Markinson’s CEO, Ralph Hunt.

Mr Hunt adds, “I extend my thanks to our customers for their continued support, which has allowed Markinson to grow and require this office upgrade.”
